I was very fortunate to get the chance to to texture various assets on Gears of War 3. I was a huge fanboy of this franchise! A majority of these assets were modeled by Kevin Johnstone, an artist who clearly was a dominator in establishing the Gears of War look. Honestly, textures almost ruin his models . . . my apologies Kevin. This was way back in the day before the Substance Train and PBR were around . . . so nothing but photoshop. These shots were from along time ago when I was not interested in promoting myself. I was just a kid at my second dream job living the dream! Not the best captures, but they still mean a lot to me. Thankful again to work with the best in the industry. I wish I had access to more of my work, but this was all I could find. Again, I only made texttures and simple materials for these pieces. If anyone at The Coalition Studio still has access to old builds or assets . . . Some badass renders sure would be kind.
